The moda hair stylist team is...
Tina, Creative Director
From as early as I can remember I wanted to be a hairdresser. I've been styling and cutting hair in Bristol for twenty years now and still love it. I set up moda in 2005 and the hair salon continues to go from strength to strength, achieving 5 stars with the good salon guide. Luckily I'm blessed with an amazing team of hair stylists.
Through my love of teaching and training, in July 2012, I joined the matrix education team. I travel to the L’Oreal academy in Hammersmith each month for updates and training in new techniques. There's always something new to learn, even after all these years and I'm constantly inspired to experiment with haircuts and colours.
I am a member of the fellowship of hairdressers where I get the chance to meet famous icons in our industry. I specialise in hair up and I love doing wedding hair.
In addition, I am often called by various colleges around Bristol to teach & coach business to students. But where I feel most at home is with my clients – many have become friends. It's lovely to see them leave the hair salon happy (and even lovelier to see them come back). My dream was always to open my own salon and I have. I am living my dream!
Franco, Creative Director
In 1985 I started my own barbers called 'Franco's'. Now more than 28 years later, it's still going strong. While managing the business, I also helped my wife Tina set up moda hairdressing. My role is more behind the scenes. I help with team management and education. I love this business and enjoy motivating the team – they all work extremely hard. They’ve become like our extended family. We're very lucky to have such a talented and likeable bunch!
Charlotte, Creative Stylist / Salon Manager
I joined moda in 2006 looking for a new challenge. Now, as creative stylist and salon manager, I am enjoying new challenges while continuing to be creative and keeping my skills fresh and on trend. I love being creative with cuts and colours.
I am currently involved with Project X, which is a series of workshops working with top hair stylists within the hairdressing industry in London. This will enable me to perform at Salon International in London.
The salon is a fantastic place to work. It's fun and friendly, which helps create an inviting atmosphere for clients – some don't want to leave!
Kerry, Creative Team
Having done hairdressing since I was 16 I've worked as an apprentice to a graduate stylist to widen my knowledge of hairdressing, progressing to become a creative member of the moda team.
I joined the moda team recently and already I've been offered a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity in hairdressing, thanks to Tina. I have recently been accepted to go on Project X, a year-long course in London run by the Fellowship for British Hairdressing. I look forward to getting educated to the highest standard in hairdressing and bringing this back to offer my clients at moda as well as bringing the knowledge into the salon as a whole.
I have enjoyed my first few months at moda. It feels like we're a great family as well as a business. I look forward to the future here and being part of Tina's team.
Stefanie, Creative Team
I have been hairdressing since 2008 and have been at moda since June 2012. I started doing NHF competitions, winning South-West bridal champion in 2009 and came first in Blackpool winning the bridal event too! I took part in the club star competition in 2010 and as a result of winning that I got to work on Gok's Fashion Fix with Jamie Stevens. I became a member of the Clubstar's artistic team 2011-2012 for which I did photoshoots and lots of stage work at Salon International and Pro Hair Live. I also styled hair for Miss World in 2011. I hope to do lots more in the future!
Bev, Creative Team
I started in the summer of 2006 as an apprentice working under Tina. I love the training and education that moda has to offer – there's always something new to try, whether it's how to be more creative with colour and cutting or testing out new products, every day is different. We're like one big family – everyone gets on really well and looks after each other. It helps make the atmosphere fun and friendly, which is brilliant as it makes the hair salon a great place to be – for us and our clients.
Congratulations to Bev on the birth of her baby girl on 21st December 2012 from all the team. Bev is currently on maternity leave.
Harriet, Creative Team
I started at moda in 2005 when it first opened. With Tina's help in the salon, my hairdressing skills went from strength to strength. I also learned a great deal from the cutting and colouring courses she took me along to. After two and a half years with moda, during which time I'd seen it grow tremendously, I decided to have a change and do my own thing for a while. I couldn't stay away from the fab moda team for long and so I came back to the salon in 2010! I love working at moda, were all friends and we all love learning new things, meeting the clients and taking part in great fashion shows.
Congratulations to Harriet on the birth of her baby girl on 29th December 2012 from all the team. Harriet is currently on maternity leave.

I joined moda hairdressing in 2010 and I've loved every minute of it. Since being at moda, my confidence has grown and I feel that I have learned and experienced something new every day. moda is a great place to work. Both the staff and the clients are great, which creates a relaxed and happy environment for everyone!
Stacey, Stylist
When I joined moda in 2010, everyone in the team was really friendly and I felt like I was part of the moda family in no time! I'm passionate about hairstyling and here at moda. I'm looking forward to increasing my skills and experience, something that I know I will achieve quickly with Tina and the team behind me! I am looking forward to learning from and contributing to the fashion shows and other organised events that moda regularly enjoy getting involved in.
Mellissa, Graduate Stylist
I joined moda in March 2011 and in my time here I have seen big changes, not only within the salon but also within myself. My confidence and skill have increased due to the excellent training and knowledge I have received from Tina. I feel privileged to work alongside Tina and the moda team. I look forward to a happy future at moda.
Josh, Graduate Stylist
I started my apprenticeship at moda in June 2011. I have really enjoyed the atmosphere and working with the team.
