Tina, Creative Director

From as early as I can remember I wanted to be a hairdresser. I've been styling and cutting hair in Bristol for twenty years now and still love it. I set up moda five years ago and the hair salon continues to go from strength to strength. Luckily I'm blessed with an amazing team of hair stylists. I love teaching and training, as well as discovering new techniques – there's always something new to learn even after all these years! I'm constantly inspired to experiment with hair cuts and colours. Especially when it comes to moda's fashion work. I'm often called to do fashion shows and photo shoots. But where I feel most at home is with my clients – many have become friends. It's lovely to see them leave the hair salon happy (and even lovelier to see them come back).

Franco, Creative Director

In 1985 I started my own barbers called 'Franco's'. Now more than 20 years later, it's still going strong. While managing the business, I also helped my wife Tina set up moda hairdressing. My role is more behind the scenes. I help with team management and education. I love this business and enjoy motivating the team – they all work extremely hard. They’ve become like our extended family. We're very lucky to have such a talented and likeable bunch!

Rich, Creative Team + Salon Manager

I joined moda as an apprentice three years ago – now I'm a qualified member of the hairstyling team. moda is an inspiring place to be. I've learnt masses from Tina. I also get regular training at the Tigi Academy, so I'm developing my skills all the time. I love working in the hair salon. I get to meet a brilliant mix of clients from all walks of life, and all ages – from 18 months to 84 years! My other passion is fashion. I'm inspired by designers like Alexander McQueen and Vivian Westwood. And at moda I'm involved in some amazing fashion shows and events, which is the icing on the cake.

I joined moda in 2006 looking for a new challenge. Now, as a senior hair stylist, I'm challenged to develop my hair cutting skills and techniques. moda involves us all in the latest training and sets creative tasks to inspire us – this allows me to be creative while keeping my skills fresh and on trend. I love being creative with cuts and colours. The salon is a fantastic place to work. It's fun and friendly, which helps create an inviting atmosphere for clients – some don't want to leave!

Bev, Creative Team

I started in the summer of 2006 as an apprentice working under Tina. I love the training and education that moda has to offer – there's always something new to try, whether it's how to be more creative with colour and cutting or testing out new products, every day is different. We're like one big family – everyone gets on really well and looks after each other. It helps make the atmosphere fun and friendly, which is brilliant as it makes the hair salon a great place to be – for us and our clients.

I started at moda in 2005 when it first opened. With Tina's help in the salon, my hairdressing skills went from strength to strength.  I also learned a great deal from the cutting and colouring courses she took me along to. After two and a half years with moda, during which time I'd seen it  grow tremendously, I decided to have a change and do my own thing for a while. I couldn't stay away from the fab moda team for long and so I came back to the salon in 2010! I love working at moda, were all friends and we all love learning new things, meeting the clients and taking part in great fashion shows.

I have been with moda since 2010. It's a really vibrant environment to work in, which I find both motivating and energizing and which also keeps my passion for hairdressing fully fuelled! I love working along side Tina and the creative team, getting to know the clients and developing my skills further. I look forward to what each new day at the salon will bring!

I joined moda hairdressing in 2010 and I've loved every minute of it. Since being at moda, my confidence has grown and I feel that I have learned and experienced something new every day. moda is a great place to work. After completing my NVQ Level 3 in hairdressing at City of Bristol College, I was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to work as a graduate stylist at moda hairdressing in the summer of 2011. Since then I feel as though my confidence has come on in leaps and bounds and the support & help from Tina and the moda team is a massive factor in this!

Everyone at moda is so friendly & helpful it makes it a great place to work and learn and I can't wait to bring my new skills to moda's fabulous clients.

I joined moda in March 2011 initially as a 'saturday girl' after I finished school this year. Tina gave me an opportunity by taking me on as an apprentice. This was a great opportunity for me as hairdressing is something I have always been passionate about. Since being at moda my confidence keeps growing and with the help of the team behind me I already feel my knowledge and skills have increased enormously.

I love working at moda and meeting new clients. I also love the new challenges each day brings me. I am really looking forward to a happy future with the moda team.

Josh, Apprenctice

I started my apprenticeship at moda in June 2011. I am really enjoying working with the team and love the training moda offers. I have learned loads from Tina, Rich and the rest of the creative team, and I am looking forward to learning more, developing new skills, and eventually running my own column. I am currently attending college one day every two weeks, and spend the rest of my time in the salon. I really enjoy the happy, friendly atmosphere at moda, and I am looking forward to seeing what the future holds within the salon.
